I have been working at Helix Education full-time (Less than a year)
I wake up every morning wanting to go to work, and I leave every day thinking about what I can accomplish tomorrow. I'm fortunate enough to see the real life effects of my decisions on the company, and one can easily tell how much effort the company put into making sure employees feel happy and driven.
Also, This company is in rapid growth phase. There are a lot of promotions going around, and it seems there are new people on a regular basis.
You are not going to sleep a whole lot. Welcome to the world of real responsibility where you are expected to contribute to a group of industry experts. I'm serious. Most people who work here have more than a decade of experience. I would not recommend this company for people who are not, "Team Players."
Advice to Management
Keep on keepen on. Maintain high standards throughout the company. Hire more good people. I wish there was a little more focus on collaboration tools like screen sharing, and a little less meetings.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Helix Education (Salt Lake City, UT) in July 2011.
Phone interview, called in for 1:1. Called in 1 week later, position was offered to someone else.
New hire fell through (possibly wanted more money) and I was offered the position
Level move for me on salary from last job. Bonus of $4k annul for meeting goals
