    I have been working at HelpSystems full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    My coworkers are dedicated, hard-working, and smart; and they are always willing to jump in to lend a hand, even if it is to go above and beyond what is expected of them. The new leadership team is fantastic, especially the CEO and CFO. They are humble, tireless workers, and genuinely care about how employees are feeling, which is a departure from how things used to run. The open and honest communication we've seen over the past 18 months is unprecedented and very much appreciated. We've been able to hire to fill positions, rather than just heaping more work on already over-burdened employees.

    Of course, there are other perks like employee ownership interest, team outings, Twins Games, Pizza Day, Pie Day, the creative Fun Committee, Beers on the Back Deck, monthly company meetings, a commitment to giving back to the community, personal and professional enrichment opportunities... I could keep going! Really, it is the wonderful people that keep me coming in with a smile every day.

    Cons

    We're quickly running out of space at the HQ office in Eden Prairie. There are plenty of challenges associated with rapid growth and numerous acquisitions, but the expectations placed on employees are realistic and attainable. Lots of projects to support the growth of the company are in play all at once (CRM, Website, acquisitions, etc) which means keeping a lot of balls in the air.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing. Leading by example shows your commitment to the company and to the employees. Thank you for treating us like responsible adults who can be trusted. You've brought much-needed change and are returning HelpSystems to its former glory by focusing on customers, quality, and happy employees. I'm really grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something we can all be proud of.
