HelpSystems provides an extensive benefits package that includes comprehensive insurance, educational assistance, and an employer-matched 401(k) plan. Benefit gems include:

Each employee gets one day off per year to participate in a “Good Neighbor” event.     I have been working at HelpSystems full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Fast paced and growing primarily through strategic acquisition. Meaning if you have skills, discipline, and work well with others there will always be opportunity. Income potential is excellent for sales. Input is welcomed at least in my group. Excellent benefits -- Health and 401K especially. A LOT of really good people. Cream rises to the top here as it should.

    Cons

    A lot of moving parts with acquisition growth. Not for faint of heart. Things get a little hectic so you need to have patience with this growth as internal processes can get muddy.
    Sometimes HR goes overboard with "culture" building and it is too much noise.
    Some amount of overlap of technology via acquisition can be confusing for customers as well as employees.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your eye on the prize and keep the customer base happy. Listen to the people on who talk to customers everyday. Add resources to keep level of support and development to what current customers have come to expect.

    It was a series of 3+ interviews: First on the phone, followed by several onsite meetings. Everyone was very nice, and you could tell they really wanted to find someone that was a good fit, skill and personality-wise.
