I have been working at Henry Ford Health System (More than 10 years)
Several years of bridge funding if grants run out.
Not as academic as it once was
Advice to Management
Research should be a higher priority in the system as that is what the reputation was built upon
Initial phone interview asked for a brief description of what courses I was taking and what projects I'd been working on.
In person interview was about 2 weeks later. The interview is an entire day and they shuffle you in and out of 30 minute interviews with 2-3 people each. So by the end of the day you've met at least 14 different people. Each interview generally started with employees describing their position and what they do. Some went into painful detail describing the structure of the department. Eventually they'd ask for a basic description of a project I'd worked on, data cleaning, stats methods. Very high level and non-technical. It was very conversational and relaxed.
