Training - Invested in your growth

Hensel Phelps is known throughout the industry for our exceptional training program. We highly encourage the continued education of our employees by providing more than 200 training courses in a variety of subjects, including: Administrative/Compliance, Communication/Leadership, Craft Training, Equipment, Estimating, Safety, Software, Technical-Field, and Technical-Office.

Courses are taught by well-qualified Hensel Phelps employees, as well as external content experts. Courses are available online and in classroom settings, depending on the content.

    I have been working at Hensel Phelps full-time (More than 5 years)


    People I work with are generally all about my same age. There really is no age gap, which makes Hensel Phelps feel more like a family. Benefits are definitely worth sticking around. I've gotten work with highly skilled workers, engineers, and owner's representatives building amazing projects in the hundreds of millions.

    In recent years, there has been a big push for quality of life, allowing an awesome life outside of work.

    Would recommend to others over all other General Contractors.


    You may have to work extra hours if you don't have your work done.

    Advice to Management

    Keep procuring complex jobs that make money, don't just procure projects to put us on the map unless the fee is good - this keeps Hensel Phelps as one of the most desirable contractors in the United States.

    I received a series of phone calls from different people within the company two were from hiring managers and the other was from a project inspector. It took a little over a month.
