I worked at Hexagon Metrology full-time (More than a year)
Overall I really enjoyed my time at Hexagon, I had an excellent manager and my coworkers were great. Only met the CEO once or twice but he was friendly and nice enough when I did. Work /life balance is pretty good, I was asked to travel fairly often on weekends (I knew this about the job going into it) and was ALWAYS given compensation time (plus expenses) to make up for it.
Could've used more training, as I worked with a software that isn't as common as a lot of the software the company uses. I never felt like I received the proper training that I needed to be really effective at my job. Even towards the end of my time there I still felt behind in terms of my knowledge of what I needed to do my job well.
Advice to Management
Get your employees the training they need, and keep focusing on the work/life balance you've achieved so far.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hexagon Metrology (North Kingstown, RI) in August 2016.
First, I met with the Director of North American Sales. He was very down to earth. The interview felt more like a conversation than anything else. Then, I met with the Talent Acquisition Manager who asked typical interview questions (Mostly dealing with customer service and leadership) and listed them off one-by-one while typing up my responses. She was also a very nice woman. I didn't feel pressured by either of the individuals I met with. Very welcoming and friendly. Just be yourself!
Salary was negotiable but they seemed pretty firm on their offer. It was pretty generous in my opinion.
