Excellent Communication Between Departments, CoWorkers, Supervisors, Managers, Etc.
Family Friendly and Family Oriented Company
    Superb Management

    Work/Life Balance

Working at Higher One wasn't just a job, it was educational too. I received training before I began to take calls and continued to receive training the entire time that I was employed there. If I hadn't got laid off, I would still be working for Higher One.

    Cons

I began working as a Seasonal Employee (which means that I was only able to work when the call volume was high). However, eventually I was promoted to Regular Employee (which means that I was able to work year round). The company laid off the entire Customer Care Department.

    Advice to Management

You're doing an outstanding job, keep up the great work!

    Interview

Quick reply from internal HR when I submitted my resume which was great. Set up phone screen and that was friendly, if a bit "rote." Seemed like I was being screened by someone who really had no true business idea about the role I would be in/the functional background that it provided. More of a checklist. Overall it wasn't to strenuous or inspiring.

    Interview Questions

    • Nothing out of the ordinary. Again, just a checklist of items that interviewer seemed to need to cover.   Answer Question
