Working in Customer Service is rewarding. It’s more than just a job; it is the front line of building the Highmark Health brand and reinforcing our corporate mission, vision and values.
Our Customer Service team members come from many different backgrounds. We look for people who listen, understand and communicate – those who can excel in any type of customer service environment.
In our Customer Service roles, a background in health care, while helpful, is not essential. Your attitude and aptitude are far more important.

I have been working at Highmark Health full-time (Less than a year)
I really enjoy the people I work with and my manager has given me a ton of freedom to do things I'm excited about. Work-life balance is good - we work hard when it's needed and leave on time when we can.
The organization can be a bit reactive and silo-ed, which can feel like we're more focused on putting out fires then making good decisions together.
Advice to Management
Keep supporting and trusting your employees to do their best work. Give them good plans (beyond high level direction) so they know how to execute your vision.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Highmark Health (Camp Hill, PA) in May 2018.
Interview was very nice and personable. Three people interviewed and asked me some puzzles but mainly personal experience was focused on. Very good group of people. Personal skills go a long way at this place.
