Dynamic program really addressed complex needs of families involved in the system. Great team oriented approach and freedom to express opinions and observations with co workers.
Very challenging clientele involved with multiple service providers. Some time turf issues arose, budget limitations, lack of resources for realistic after care program planning.
Advice to Management
I really enjoyed the autonomy I worked with, yet, also appreciated that close supervision was available when needed. Very professional and skilled mentors to work for.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hillside Children's Center (Syracuse, NY) in June 2013.
Group interview with program manager and supervisory staff. About 1 hour long. They talk to you about the travel requirements and reimbursements. They ask questions about typical situations that occur with the client system, related to problem solving and peer communication with colleagues. The staff are very welcoming and enjoy someone who can just be genuine.
