I have been working at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (More than 5 years)
The professional work environment is second to none. The quality of the culture is something that this industry strives for but rarely achieves. People who work here have a career, not a job.
It is a results based business, so sometimes good people don't make it. Sales is not for everyone and the really good ones make it look easy. It is not an easy job and it is not for everyone.
Advice to Management
Continue the path that you are currently on. It is effective and working.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Hilton Grand Vacations in March 2018.
Ridiculous. Paired with a recruiter with minimal experience and an inadequate mastery of written and spoken English. The first step after your resume clears, is not a phone conversation/interview, but an invitation to a HireVue (one-way video) interview. HireVue is insulting to any applicant, but particularly for senior management positions. It is not an engaging, high-touch candidate engagement experience in a market with a low candidate supply. One-way video interviews are not accurate assessments and are recruiter porn for inadequate recruiters. My advice would be to offer to Skype or web conference for interviews, or God forbid, actually do a phone interview first. Be prepared to get dropped if you do not respond or refuse the HireVue request. VERY slow to respond to applicants. It appears that their talent acquisition function needs a major overhaul.
