Mission: HireVue’s purpose is to give people a voice. To help them tell their stories and demonstrate their true abilities.
I have been working at HireVue full-time
Hirevue has many of the pros of a startup: small teams, agile-ish independent decision making, great culture, benefits, etc but also has many of the pros of a established large corporation: stability, benefits, not worried about burn rate/VC funding, etc. It is a great time to work there. Having worked at the very large and the very small, I would gladly don my Goldilocks-cosplay and say "HireVue is just right".
Puberty is awkward. Whether you are a pimple faced computer nerd or a company. Hirevue is going through puberty as it shifts from a idea/startup to a fully functioning business. It's not a grim outlook. Just like zit creme and braces helped many of us in becoming mostly-functioning adults, so are the changes in senior leadership/marketing/sales etc.
Long as we don't try to awkwardly flirt with Julie Taylor at the end of 7th period french class, the company is going to be a-okay...
Advice to Management
Bring back the lunch program. Politically that was an extremely short-sighted PR nightmare with little gain. Also communicate more like was done at our internal summit - that level of passion inspires more than numbers.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at HireVue in April 2017.
Great experience doing a recorded video interview and then live video interviews with the hiring manager and several members of the team. I felt doing a video interview as the first step it opened the door for them to see my personality and see an early culture fit with the team.
