I worked at Hittite Microwave (More than 3 years)
Hard charging company focused on being the best. If you work there you are expected to perform. Excellent product easy to sell. Loyal customers.
Too much focus on military business. The company needed to expand to other higher volume markets.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you have been doing which is expect results from your employees and give big stock rewards for a job well done
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hittite Microwave (Boston, MA) in June 2009.
Was referred to this "prestigious" high achieving company by a former colleague. No particular position was discussed prior or during the on-site interview (which in hindsight should have alerted me). It was really an attempt to de-brief my knowledge of their COMP who I worked for. They never even offered to reimburse my (small) travel expense. Yankee ingenuity and frugality all wrapped up in one I guess.
