I have been working at Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center full-time
I have been with this company for several years. And I can honestly say the nurses, social workers, chaplains and home health aides as well as the rest truly are caring! Knowledgeable, we work as a team for the most part.
Bereavmeant support, get-togethers for families of the deceased loved ones is amazing. And they really appreciate their volunteers!
For the most part they do value our opinion,
And whenever I need to call out, if it’s due to family, always told “family comes first!” Appreciate that a lot . Flexible for most part.
Deal with a lot of Fox Chase Cancer Center and oncology doctors at aria , they are a pleasure to work with!
Well I hear the pay is less than the national average. Although not aweful would love to have $5.00’an hour more. And some upper administration who have been nurses in the field themselves must know what it’s like, yet sometimes feel like we are being micromanaged, Some management seem more more concerned with how many patients did we see? That’s not how it works. Most of us work quickly but efficiently! I can run circles around the upper management. And we do have a high census most of the time. Our job is to gain trust and confidence, give quality care ,not sign on for census.
not always open to advice to streamline evaluation process, ie. A lot of time wasted because admission nurses are waiting around for their workload, many hours in the morning gone before we see our first patient.
Pay scale lower than ideal
Advice to Management
Philadelphia office has excellent hospice workers, and incredible team, please take advice, listen and really take action on what we think will make things better for everyone including the patients.
Fight hard to get us a much-needed breeze, and not just $.50,
compensation for hospice certification , shows our professional . Most health systems pay $3.00/ hr for certifications
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center (Falls, PA) in October 2017.
Interview with Lead Talent Scout, Then interviewed with department Manager and Supervisor. Came back at a later date to do an “Audition”. I felt like I would have been chosen being that they had me come back to a do an “Audition” , But was not offered the position based on my lack of experience. Even though I was not chosen it was a good interviewing process.
