  • Phone Screen – typically 20 – 30 min – overview
  • Second Level Interview – 1 – 3 hours – chronology of work experience
  • Third Level Interview – multiple interviews averaging 1 hour/ea., focused on outcomes and competencies
  • Reference Checks – solicit feedback from candidate’s supervisors, peers, and subordinates

What comes to your mind when you hear “Pest Control”? Many people are accustomed to the conventional spot treatment model, where a technician sprays only in certain areas of your home. In addition to conventional methods of defending against pests, HomeTeam designed Taexx®, the original Tubes in the Wall® system, to create a virtual barrier that helps keep new homes free of common household pests by targeting where they live, hide, and breed. This built-in pest control system consists of a network of small, perforated tubes run behind designated walls in a home. Once Taexx is installed, pest control materials are applied through a port box on an outside wall of the home by professional technicians from HomeTeam. 

Benefits of Taexx: 

  • Taexx is more effective, requiring less pest control materials than traditional treatments.
  • Taexx minimizes exposure inside the home, which helps protect family members and pets.
  • Pest control materials last longer in the wall because they are not exposed to sunlight or rain.
  • Customers save valuable time because HomeTeam services the home through an outside port, so you don’t have to be home.

Management Development Training

MD training is aimed at finely tuning managerial skills, learning about new styles of management, and how to be the best leader for their diverse team.

Branch Manager Training 

This program is designed to prepare high-potential managers for General Manager or Regional Management positions within the organization. The training itself consists of 3 separate workshops during a 9 month period. The learning is intense and focuses on all functions of our operations, to best prepare them for the opportunity to run their own branch or region.

Master Tech and Sales Programs 

These programs are designed to provide a career path for high performing technicians and sales representatives. We have seen the benefits of this program for internal growth and promotion in service operations.  We have promoted 40% of those that complete the programs.

    I have been working at Home Team Pest Defense full-time (More than 3 years)


    This company is going to do whatever it takes to help employees. They always try to do right by them and make sure of that. They have tons to offer, including a company truck and phone plus benefits. They pay great, and like I said they want to take care of everyone. As a a tech you basically get 3 separate raises a year!! You have the opportunity to move up in the company, it’s not going to be quick but if you are willing to move you can move up quicker.


    Biggest thing has nothing to do with the company. You get unrealistic employees who want the world and stuff that someone just can’t provide. They want to work less and get paid more, unfortunately in the world we live in that’s not possible. They can be negative and bring down other employees. Don’t let those employees do that to you.

    Advice to Management

    Recruit the good employees to move up in the organization. Ask other regions who are the best people and see if they would be willing to move to help better the company.
