"At HomeAdvisor, we take culture seriously, and we make sure it reflects what our state has to offer. Since the foothills are our backyard, you don’t have to look too hard to find employees on a team hike, taking a lunchtime yoga class, renting a bike to ride around the campus or joining our weekly walk series."

What We Do
HomeAdvisor is the free and easy way for homeowners to find and connect with trusted home improvement, maintenance & repair professionals.
As one of the fastest growing consumer brands in the country, we’re looking for driven individuals to join our growing team. Our offices range from Madison Square Gardens to the base of the Rocky Mountains, employing a world-class team of over 2000 across the country.
Since connecting with people is at the heart of what we do, it should be no surprise that we’re pretty close with our colleagues… some say their coworkers are more like friends. This is just one of the many reasons we’ve been named a Top Workplace for 5 years in a row!
Over 40 million homeowners and 150K service professionals have been connected through our network, the nation’s largest online home improvement marketplace. We are implementing game changing ideas in the industry, and we want you to be a part of it!
In recognition of our commitment to providing a great workplace, HomeAdvisor has made the list of The Denver Post’s “Top Places to Work” list 5 consecutive years.
Best On-Demand App
Our product development team has kept on the cutting-edge of technology, and HomeAdvisor was awarded “Best On-Demand App” by Street Fight in the Local Visionary Awards 2016. The HomeAdvisor Alexa App was also a finalist in APEX CTA’s “Project of the Year” in 2016.
Best Places to Work
Kansas City Business Journal honored HomeAdvisor in their “2016 Best Places to Work” list, featuring our unique close-knit, family-focused culture. Our Indianapolis office was also named a Top Workplace 2017 by the Indy Star.
Power Book Winner
In 2016, Chris Terrill, CEO of HomeAdvisor, was named Denver Business Journal’s Power Book winner for technology, telecom, & aerospace.
We believe that “Love What You Do" is not just a motivational saying—it’s a career choice. When you choose the right company that aligns with your values, add incredible benefits with awesome colleagues, then you begin to really love what you do!
There is a collective sense of pride in the work that we do, and this is something that we promote through a fun, energetic work environment. We go above and beyond to put on all kinds of employee appreciation events that keep everyone laughing and enjoying their time at work, as well as offering amazing benefits to keep a great work-life balance. This creates a company comprised of diverse people who respect one another and want everyone in the organization to succeed.
A Winning Mindset
If you poll any of the employees at HomeAdvisor, they will NOT say their work is easy, but it is definitely worth the rewards. If you are willing to work hard, we make it easy for you to play hard. Work hard and you could be rewarded with trips to tropical islands, cash prizes, and the opportunity for a 6-figure income. Plus, enjoy the day-to-day perks, including weekly happy hours, food trucks & social events. Not to mention Summerfest, our annual party that puts the traditional company picnic to shame. Redefining the benchmark of success requires hard work and sometimes long hours. We purposely design our workforce with people who have a winning mindset and reward them for it.
Our Work is Personal
Our people understand the power of human connection. We thrive on building meaningful relationships with others and enjoy helping people in the process. Everything we do at HomeAdvisor is personal. Every conversation is tailored to the individual. Ultimately, our job is to connect valued contractors with the homeowners who need them, and we understand that many of our contractor's livelihoods depend on our service.
Real People Making a Real Impact
At HomeAdvisor, our employees have the opportunity to contribute ideas and know their ideas will be listened to and valued. Our teams don’t just succeed with what they are given, but are constantly pursuing new and better ideas and practices. We have a reputation for implementing employees' ideas that have a ripple effect from within our organization to create a positive impact in the community.
In addition to helping our customers create their dream homes, we also enjoy designing our offices to feel like a second home for our employees. Our campuses range from Times Square in the Big Apple to the base of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Take a look around!
We often get asked, “What is it like to work at HomeAdvisor?” To answer that question we put together a typical day in the life of a Golden Sales Rep at HomeAdvisor’s Golden Campus. Take a look below!
No matter the position, HomeAdvisor is always looking for great people. We have campuses in New York, Indiana, Kansas & Colorado. Visit our Careers Page to see current openings. There are plenty of opportunities for you to grow with us -- We'd love to hear from you!
At HomeAdvisor, the sky’s the limit. We’ve got great leaders who encourage us to learn and grow. There’s cool perks like happy hours and basketball courts. We get to feel good about doing good for the community. Plus, it’s fun coming to work here, which makes us happy and super productive. Now, that’s what we call #HApride.
If benefits packages were cars, HomeAdvisor’s would be one part Volvo, one part Bentley. That’s because in addition to safeguards like medical and dental coverage, HomeAdvisor offers some lavish extras too – think tuition reimbursement, discounts on everything from sporting events to mobile plans, and employee appreciation events that put the traditional company picnic to shame.
…and much more!
We like to say that we have the profitability and stability of a major corporation with the culture of a start-up. At HomeAdvisor, you’ll find ping-pong tables, arcade games, beach balls and food truck Fridays. You’ll also find a focus on health and wellness and a strong sense of pride and connection with your colleagues.
HomeAdvisor knows that we feel good when we give back – and the company fully encourages us on our quests to feel warm and fuzzy. In addition to offering employees one paid day off to volunteer for the non-profit of our choice, HomeAdvisor holds several events and charitable drives each year to benefit community organizations. Our parent company, IAC, will also match any donations up to $5000 and double the impact for your favorite charity.
I have been working at HomeAdvisor full-time (More than 3 years)
Pay, schedule, environment, culture, management, annual zoo outing, center lunches, free soda, great health benefits, energy, free coffee, in office store, pool table, ping pong table, gym, keg/happy hour....Just to name a few.
When I started working at HomeAdvisor I had no idea what to expect. What I found was a company who cared about and appreciated it's employees. I had fun at work. I felt like I was important and making a difference. It's a company that gives back what you give and more. HomeAdvisor has made an impact on my life in so many wonderful ways and taking a chance to work there was the best decision I have ever made.
When I say there are no cons, I mean it. This place is everything you will never find anywhere else.
Advice to Management
Keep putting people first and making a difference!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HomeAdvisor (Golden, CO) in February 2018.
I applied online. A recruiter contacted me within a few days. A couple of days after that, I had a call with the hiring manager. Less than a week after that, I was brought onsite for 2.5 hours. For some candidates a phone screen/coding portion is done in advance, but I opted to directly visit the office. The interview process is comparatively short: ~1 hour of coding, 45 minutes or so of OO design, and 45 minutes of team/culture fit. You really get to see the people you might be working with and get a feel for them.
Contrary to bigger tech companies, HomeAdvisor has a quick decision rate and I was offered the job immediately after my interview. Having that immediate feedback definitely takes an emotional load off, but be prepared to decline or accept within a few days at most.
The office itself is very positive and everyone I interacted with was pleasant. The recruiter was very attentive and addressed all my needs. I can highly recommend that anyone interview here - I accepted a position elsewhere.
