What We Do

We protect homeowners from the high cost and hassle of emergency home repairs with Emergency Home Repair Service Plans that cover parts and labor to repair critical electrical, gas, heating, cooling and water systems. These affordable plans provide repair service in an emergency through our 24/7 repair hotline by local, licensed, and insured technicians with $0 deductible and a one-year guarantee on all covered repairs.

Why What We Offer Is Important

Our customer surveys have shown that the majority of homeowners are unaware of what their responsibilities are regarding the maintenance and repair of their water and sewer laterals. For example, many homeowners assume their local utility covers the water pipe that runs from the street to their home. Typically, this is not the case. If a service line breaks the homeowner is responsible for the repairs, which could range from $3,000 to $10,000 or more, and according to CNN Money, 64% of consumers do not have $1,000 on hand to cover an unexpected home repair.

    Pros

    It's hard to find a company that works to recognize the effort of its employees and listens to them. Homeserve does just that. I have been with Homeserve for almost two years and not only does the company offer great benefits, but also recognizes my effort to improve myself and perform well. Additionally, the company emphasizes a survey that employees voluntarily take to voice their opinions and truly works to implement improvements and make it a better work atmosphere. I enjoy working at Homeserve.

    Cons

    It is often too cold in the Call Center.

    Application

    I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at HomeServe USA (Norwalk, CT) in October 2018.

    Interview

    After a phone screen by an HR representative, I was scheduled for a face to face interview with numerous other candidates. The two people that interviewed seem like they wanted to be anywhere else besides going through another interview. I was what makes me worthwhile hiring. I explained my background and success I had. At the end of the interview I was told they were many more candidates and that I would hear something in about a week. I never heard anything. I feel if someone goes to an in person interview they HR department should have the decency to let people know with a basic form letter or email that they did not get the job.
