I have been working at HomeToGo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Perks of working at a tech company (yoga, free fruit, coffee) with a clear effort to build on existing company culture. There are many regular team events (beer Fridays, team lunches, Meetups), and employees will always invite you to lunch (which feels good when you're an early starter!). A strong but hectic on-boarding process and overall very promising internal organisation. The employees are international- many Germans (as is to be expected from a Berlin startup), Italians, Spanish, French, Turkish, English, Lithuanian, American, etc. The company also genuinely lives up to their promise of transparency; as an intern I was able to observe employees being honest with their coworkers, even if it meant giving feedback to their team leaders.

    Cons

Still working out the kinks of a new and growing company- facing issues with recruitment (having important positions filled by qualified people) and the logistics of everyday office work. This is to be expected from a startup and I have yet to identify a genuinely concerning problem. It is important to keep in mind that the company is still in their early years of development (in comparison to giant travel-tech competitors like Kayak or Airbnb), but holds a lot of promise and seems to be on a steady and optimistic rise.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at HomeToGo (Berlin (Germany)).

    Interview

for an internship, the process was very long, took about two months .
Seems a bit unorganized since the company just got funding and is in a growing phase.
the steps were phone interview, a 1:1 and an IQ test (that they made clear has no influence in the hiring process so i don't know what is it's purpose) and then a skills test.

    Interview Questions

    • General and normal interview questions.
They wanted to check if i made the right amount of research about them and if i understand their business plan.   Answer Question
