I have been working at Homesite Group full-time (Less than a year)

There's a lot I like about my position at Homesite. The management is friendly, the job is interesting, and they're very understanding when it comes to learning a new process. They let you listen to music while you work and snack at your desk, the things you learn is varied, and for the ambitious there are even opportunities to get an insurance licence that the company pays for!

There are some people who are pretty jaded about everything there. I hear people complain a lot about the management or the job itself, and sometimes that can be a little disheartening. I haven't seen the issues they complain about though.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, I'm excited to see where this all goes!

    Average Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Homesite Group (Boston, MA).

A recruiter reached out to me. I had a phone screen with that recruiter and then a second phone screen with Homesite's recruiter. I was then asked to come onsite where I went through business case interviews and met with 4 other employees. Onsite interview feedback was positive (they thought I would be a great asset to the team and loved my experience, etc.), but they needed me to come onsite again. This seemed odd/silly based on the positive feedback, but I agreed to it because I was still interested in the job. This is where things got ridiculous! I was supposed to be there for another hour, but over the span of a week this changed 4 times and eventually turned into another 3 hour meeting that they didn't confirm until less than 24 hours before I needed to be onsite. I explained that I now had another commitment the next day, but agreed to reschedule a couple of things the following day so I could come onsite. At that point they cancelled my interview indefinitely for no reason! I was floored and amazed at how unprofessional and inconsiderate they turned out to be when everyone seemed so nice during the first onsite interview! Even the recruiter was shocked at their behavior! Definitely dodged a bullet on this one and avoided getting into what could have been a horrible situation! Proceed with caution when interviewing here...

    Interview Questions

    • In addition to the business case questions: Why are you interested in this position? Why would you be an asset to this company? What strengths make you a good fit for this position? Where do you see your career heading in 5 years? How do you multi-task/prioritize projects? What is the most interesting analytics project that you've worked on?
