Serving those who live, work and play in Tempe

Tempe, Arizona, is many things: home to highly regarded academic institutions; a hub of medical, environmental and aerospace research; headquarters for major corporations; and a housing mecca for more than 166,000 residents.

HonorHealth helps serve the diverse healthcare needs of those who live, work and play in Tempe with three medical practices:

The primary care physicians and family doctors at each Tempe location share a commitment to making healthy personal. To do so, they tailor their care and services to meet your needs. They understand the healthcare needs through all phases of life, from families with newborn and school-age children, to college students, working professionals, empty nesters and retirees.

Are you looking for a family doctor to administer childhood vaccinations, provide well-child exams, quickly diagnose and treat cold and flu symptoms, or conduct physicals for organized youth sports? Do you need well-woman services or advice on birth control options that fit your lifestyle? Could you benefit from having a nearby primary care physician help manage a chronic condition like diabetes or high blood pressure? Do you want a familiar atmosphere where you can get routine dermatology services or see a doctor when you're not feeling well?

HonorHealth Medical Group's locations in Tempe do all of this and so much more while building trusting patient-provider relationships.

Tempe primary care - HonorHealth Medical Group

HonorHealth Medical Group - Primary Care - East Tempe

Since 2013, this office at the southeast corner of McClintock Drive and Broadway Road has been serving patients 10 and up.

The office is located southeast of Arizona State University, near Tempe High School and the popular Tempe Marketplace. The practice is near industrial and business complexes, apartment communities and single-family home communities, including Broadmor, Hughes Acres, Meyer Park, Broadway Palms and Hudson Manor.

Many of the practice's patients are city and university employees. It's also a popular choice among the area's older adult and senior residents.

Several of the doctors at the HonorHealth primary care office in east Tempe worked in private practice before joining HonorHealth Medical Group. As a result, patients travel from Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler and Maricopa to continue receiving care from the doctors they know and trust.

In addition to walk-in and same-day appointments, the primary care office in east Tempe offers lunchtime appointments. Foreign language interpreters, including sign language interpreters, are available to ensure all patients receive the highest level of care.

HonorHealth Medical Group - Primary Care - West Tempe

Located near the U.S. 60 and Interstate 10 freeways at the intersection of Priest Drive and Broadway Road, this practice boasts same-day and next-day appointments.

Situated in an industrial plaza with ample parking, the office is adjacent to Holdeman Elementary School, the expansive Holdeman Neighborhood and Gilliland single-family home communities, and the Parkside Apartments. The town of Guadalupe, which has a large Spanish-speaking population, is also nearby. Spanish-speaking healthcare professionals are on staff to ensure clear communication.

The HonorHealth primary care office in west Tempe serves patients from birth through end of life. One distinguishing service is its focus on women's health and, more specifically, birth control. From intrauterine devices and implantable birth control methods, to birth control pills and shots, they offer an array of contraceptive options.

Providers maintain a strong community presence, participating in health screening events, fairs and festivals, including those hosted by the town of Guadalupe. To serve busy working professionals, they also conduct on-site blood pressure checks, nutrition counseling and more for local businesses such as the nearby Home Depot Call Center.

HonorHealth Medical Group - Primary Care - South Tempe

This office at the southwest corner of McClintock Drive and Warner Road serves patients 12 and up. The practice is nestled in a primarily residential area. Nearby neighborhoods include Alta Mira, Mission Ridge, Corona Del Sol, Estate La Colina and Warner Estates, to name a few.

While serving men, women and children, providers focus on a range of women's health issues, including those related to reproduction, menopause and diseases and conditions affecting the female organs.

The south Tempe location is one of two practices in the HonorHealth Medical Group to use a patient-centered care model in which all aspects of the patient visit — including registration, medical history review, exams and procedures — are conducted in one private patient room.

An Unwavering Commitment to the Community

HonorHealth Community

At the heart of HonorHealth is a legacy of caring for our communities.

Thousands of individuals and families benefit annually from our commitment to serve the community through two special programs:

  1. Desert Mission, whose services include a Food Bank, a Community Health Center, a Children's Dental Clinic, Marley House Behavioral Health Center, Neighborhood Renewal, Adult Day Healthcare and Lincoln Learning Center.
  2. NOAH (Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health), which provides compassionate, quality healthcare — medical and dental services, plus physical, behavioral health and speech therapy — for vulnerable individuals in the community.

In 2014, Desert Mission served 45,955 individuals, including 42,751 at the Food Bank and 1,575 through the Community Health Center. In addition, Desert Mission provided 39,165 Snack Pacs for schoolchildren who otherwise would have gone hungry over weekends in 2014.

NOAH served 8,276 patients with a total of 23,634 medical visits, 4,179 dental visits and 3,140 behavioral health visits.

For more information about our community service programs, as well as to volunteer or to donate, please visit Desert Mission and NOAH.

I have been working at HonorHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

HonorHealth is a great employer. They have given me everything I have asked for in a job. I work closely with medical staff and hospital administration and feel like I am truly part of a team and I feel my input is taken seriously. I even like their cafeteria food. Their salary and benefits are quite competitive. I would highly encourage anyone who is even considering working at HH to apply. They have a very strong presence in the community. Note that HH is a non-profit organization.

    Cons

It takes time for change to happen, though I would assume this is true for any large organization.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring great people like you are already doing. As long as you keep putting patients first, you will keep succeeding.
