I worked at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital part-time
You can work P.R.N. which allows you to work as much or as little as your lifestyle allows. 12 hr shifts are great and pay is competitive.
Sometimea the nurses can be unappreciative to technicians. The nightshift is the better shift to work because the day shift employees are less enticing to work around.
Advice to Management
Make sure that the people doing the most hands on work with patients feel appreciated and continue to be compensated with pay increases.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital (Sulphur Springs, TX) in February 2014.
(1) one on one interview with supervisor
(1) group interview
The one on one is just to assess your personality/aptitude for learning the position. Once you've made it to the group interview, you're pretty much in (as long as you use common sense to answer common and predictable interview questions). The group panel usually consists of your 2 immediate supervisors, 1 or 2 other department directors (depending on the position) and 2 peers.
