I worked at Hopkins House Association full-time
Paid professional development opportunities
Lead teacher is able to choose the shift she desires. Advancement opportunities with the company when you further your education.
Paid twice/month, paper checks, you receive your check after 3pm, sometimes payment was days late. No planning period other than nap time. Not all children nap.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hopkins House Association (Alexandria, VA) in December 2012.
Went for an interview and I was asked typical early childhood questions. I was given a run down of the company and their goals. I walked around and saw all of the classrooms and was introduced to the teachers in preschool. Very nice school! There is a resource room for teachers with computers and supplies. I was offered the job on the spot.
I was told what the pay was.
