I worked at Houston Zoo part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great environment, awesome coworkers! I loved eating lunch by the giraffes

    Cons

Hours are unpredictable and not flexible. Had to stand at the door of the gift shop for hours and hours and not allowed to sit down when my feet hurt. I wanted to be on the register just to make it more entertaining every day but they pick favorites to be on the register.

    Advice to Management

More organization and be friendly! When the managers come out of the back, all the employees hide from them.

    Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Houston Zoo in October 2016.

    Interview

Very easy going, standard retail position gets very slow but during the holidays is very very busy! Overall there were generally no complaints about how the process went just be yourself!
