I have been working at Howl at the Moon full-time (More than 5 years)
I love working here it's a real community vibe.
The occasional unhappy customer but that's any business at any time.
I applied in-person. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Howl at the Moon (Boston, MA).
I ended up singing onstage at Howl on a whim one night, and one of the band members was a recruiter for the company. He gave me his card, and said to come in and audition if I was interested. My next audition was at the club with the Monday night crowd, the recruiter, and one other candidate. I performed 6 songs (4 playing piano and singing, 1 guitar and singing, and one just singing with the band). For the next step (2 weeks later), the national entertainment director flew out to see me and one other candidate on a busy Thursday night. I performed 4 songs. They took me down to the office right afterward and asked me some questions about my musical background, my repertoire, and my life. 3 weeks after that, I had my final audition at Howl on a VERY busy Saturday night. The national e.d. and one of the founders of the company was there. I performed 4 songs. That night, they told me I was hired! I was quite the whirlwind of a process, but it tested me a lot, and was a lot of fun. Each audition made me want the job more and more. I can't wait to start training!!
