I worked at Hurley Medical Center full-time
The nurses work their butts off for their patients. In fact everyone from respiratory, unit coordinators, nurse aides, house keeping etc..,they are there to serve people and do it well. I'm honored to have worked with the most hard working and compassionate people.
Not in the best part of town
Advice to Management
For upper management. Go to the floors, to the units, don't just walk through, stay awhile. See what is really happening on the front lines. We are human, superhuman pretty much, but nurses are already giving, selfless, compassionate they will go without lunches, and bathroom breaks for their patients. They put their bodies, hearts, souls, minds and spirit into that hospital and every life they touch every day they are there. They know that they are liable for every single word they say, every single thing they do, they only want to help, that's why they went into nursing. Let them help! Let them do their jobs SAFELY! Don't make them fight tooth and nail to do what is right! Every patient deserves that! Every nurse and employee!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hurley Medical Center (Flint, MI) in January 2016.
Very easy process. it was easy meting 1on1 with the manager. I can not complain how fast it was. the longest part is waiting on HR..........................................................
