Our employees benefit from continuous skill development by taking on assignments critical to business objectives and by participating in learning activities within the firm.
Huron offers two Orientation programs. New, experienced hires attend a two-day orientation program which provides an opportunity to learn about the history of Huron, resources and programs available to employees and the opportunity to network with peers, colleagues and leadership. For employees hired through the campus recruiting process, Huron provides a week-long orientation program, designed to give campus hires the tools they need to make a successful transition from college life to Huron and the consulting industry.
Huron offers a comprehensive leadership development suite, comprised of 2 distinct units: Managing Director (MD) and Senior Director (SD) development programs and Milestone promotion schools. Each program is designed to raise leadership acumen across the organization and create leaders of the future.

Other benefits include communicating industry news, serving to build networks within professional industries, and offering opportunities to share and foster knowledge with individuals that are in similar roles. We believe professional societies are invaluable to our people as our business grows and the skills demanded in the market change.

I worked at Huron Consulting Group full-time
great pay and benefits for work.
upper management can be a little distant
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Huron Consulting Group (Chicago, IL).
The process starts off with a brief phone screen with an HR representative. Following this phone screen, you have to take an excel quiz (fairly basic, might be a question on vlookup) and sign up for your first interview. My first interview was a 30-minute behavioral interview with a manager. She asked questions like "Why Huron?" and "Why Consulting" in addition to questions about working in groups and overcoming challenges. After this interview, I was notified within a week that I made it to the next round: a case interview. This interview was with a director. It was more conversational than traditional case interviews and had a math portion that you were given five minutes to complete. If you have some familiarity with case approaches you'll be fine but no need to box yourself in. Following that interview, I was offered a final round interview in the Chicago office. This interview started with a panel lunch with analysts. It was simply an opportunity for the interviewees to get a better understanding of the company and the analyst role. Following lunch, there were two 45 minute behavioral interviews. These seemed to be aimed at addressing culture fit and had a few questions talking about Huron's values. Both of these interviews were with managers/directors. Following this round, I heard back the next business day with an offer.
