Our Philosophy

At Hyatt, we care for people so they can be their best. Care comes from a place of empathy and authentic human connection. We do this by truly seeing people and getting to know them as unique individuals, so we can design and deliver personal experiences. This is about all the PEOPLE we interact with everyday, including colleagues, guests, owners, operators, community members and shareholders. BEING YOUR BEST is about being your authentic self in each moment— engaged, fulfilled and ready to take on the world.

Our values of respect, empathy, integrity, creativity, humility, and fun are an important part of our culture—guiding our behavior—and help us individually and collectively to create an environment where our colleagues can be their best and where they can help others achieve this as well. That is why we—every individual at Hyatt—hold ourselves to a shared set of values, and the behaviors that make them real.

You'll enjoy equal parts rewards and recognition

Hyatt believes in its employees in celebrating success and in highlighting accomplishments! Employees take pride in being part of such a collaborative environment. As an employee of the Hyatt team, not only will you receive outstanding rewards and recognition, but you’ll also be a part of a family-friendly atmosphere consistently labeled with "great camaraderie". You’ll feel a tremendous sense of pride when you’re recognized for your contributions to our exceptional guest experiences.

Hyatt is equally committed to ensuring that you, your family or domestic partner stay healthy, take advantage of opportunities, plan for the future and take time to enjoy life. As healthy and happy people, Hyatt employees are committed to working in our collaborative environment.

Hyatt's worldwide recognition and rewards programs will vary depending on the country. Local benefit packages will be offered for those hotels outside of North America.

We embrace the diversity of those who deliver our promise every day. Our hotels employ the following initiatives for colleagues:

• Recruiting, retaining and developing high-performing, talented and engaged colleagues with
diverse backgrounds and perspectives

• Educating, advocating and communicating in order to foster an inclusive, engaging culture and work environment

• Creating opportunities that help our colleagues maintain a balanced lifestyle with experiences designed with self-improvement in mind

• Engaging our colleagues with development programs, learning tools and informational meet-ups that connect them with each other. These initiatives offer colleagues around the world a chance to learn something new and find opportunities to better themselves as well as their futures.

One way we demonstrate diversity and inclusion is by recognizing, respecting and celebrating differences.

    Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Hyatt (Jersey City, NJ).

    Interview

I once interviewed with a Hyatt Regency and nearly got the job but got turned down solely on my availability at the time. The HR coordinator explicitly called me and left a voicemail to reach out to her for future opportunities and she's interested in me but stopped working at Hyatt soon later and I saw all my future job applications to the hotel automatically shut down. No call backs when I was far beyond required skills. I think their job app. program automatically blocked me based off one turn-down from a job. Eventually I went to a Hyatt job fair for a new hotel they opened in my hometown and got a job offer a few weeks after.
