On August 16, 1967, when leaders of the civil rights movement were denied a place to gather, Hyatt Regency Atlanta opened its doors to host the 11th Annual Southern Christian Leadership Conference. 50 years later, we are still inspired by this moment and Hyatt continues to serve as a place where all people can come together.
Hyatt named one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Women in the United States. Our global partnerships and programs for women makes this recognition even more meaningful.
We are a global hospitality company with widely recognized, industry leading brands and a tradition of innovation developed over our more than fifty-year history. We take pleasure in welcoming our guests into our hotels, cultivating genuine connections and making a positive difference in their lives. We are dedicated to caring for every person who enters our doors so that they can be at their best. Each of our brands provides a distinct experience, while all of our hotels deliver genuine care. This sets us apart from the competition and helps us fulfill our aspiration to be the most preferred brand everywhere we serve.
We manage, franchise, own and develop Hyatt branded hotels, resorts and residential and vacation ownership properties around the world. As of June 30, 2015, the Company's worldwide portfolio consisted of 618 properties in 51 countries.

I have been working at Hyatt part-time
Community feel, friendly coworkers, opportunities to move up, discounted/complementary rooms, discounted food & beverage at Hyatt hotels
Cutbacks on hours, tries to minimize pay to save on labor costs, managers can be hit or miss
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hyatt (San Antonio, TX).
The interview process started with me sitting down with the banquet chef, who interviewed me for the restaurant line because he had previously been the chef de cuisine and his replacement had only recently gotten there. After a very positive interview with him, I was called back to interview with the new chef de cuisine, which also went very smoothly. In both cases, they asked me the standard questions about my training and experience, as well as questions about me personally (to gauge my personality and fit on their existing team, I would imagine). They were both very friendly and comfortable to talk with.
