I worked at Hypermedia Systems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits and pay is very comparable to the market rate and at the individual level, the management is very understanding. Loyalty is a thing with them, if you stick with them, they will stand by you and encourage you to learn and explore career opportunities within the company.

    Cons

The management structure is very idiosyncratic and redundant. Each area has their own set of systems admins, developers, etc. At times, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and confusion ensues.

    Advice to Management

Keep going with your management structure reforms, it is the right direction.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hypermedia Systems (Los Angeles, CA) in November 2012.

    Interview

There are two to three interviewing session, usually with your direct co-worker, your immediate supervisor, and your director above the supervisor. You are also asked to take a standardized test the first half is to determine your problem solving skills, these tests usually have more than one right answer; the second half are technical solutions, such as write the program.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

You give them what you would like and they make an offer from there, via email.
