Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Pros

Benefits are still amazing, company culture is making positive change after the turmoil earlier this year, leadership has been consistently demonstrating that they are listening and care.

Cons

The engineering layoffs in July were rough. The team is just barely recovered, and the overall product vision seems to be missing some of the direction provided by the previous founders. CTO feels

Advice to Management

This is a great place to work! You just need to stay the course on the things you have begun. Don't pivot repeatedly and give the organization time to recover and get some wins! There is so much

    After seven interviews, they went completely dark. The lack of professionalism is appalling. They asked me to clear my calendar for two weeks to participate in a series of group interviews; each lasting up to 1.5 hours. When I had a single scheduling conflict and needed to reschedule, they simply stopped replying. Moreover, the interview I attempted to reschedule was already previously rescheduled at their request with very late notice.
