    I have been working at Hyster-Yale Group full-time (Less than a year)


    Hyster-Yale is a great company. After moving from a much larger company to Hyster, a smaller company, I can say it feels great. There is more job responsibility, very little down-time which keeps everyone busy, and is still somewhat flexible on core hours and working around your family needs. Pay is very competitive. Location is excellent, being in Oregon is a great place to be outdoors. So far, i have nothing but good things to say.


    The only Cons i can think of are typical of any company. Everything is never 100% fantastic, that would be an impossible company. With that being said:

    - I believe upper management could improve on listening more to the people on the ground floor. Rushing through projects to meet timing, overspending, etc. are all recipes for a bad outcome. I agree that setting a pace is necessary otherwise we would stretch timing out forever, but there are red flags that go up frequently that need to be addressed instead of ignored and "pushed through". Setting realistic goals that are more attainable would be ideal.

    - Budget for equipment, network upgrades, office upgrades would be nice. It should have been happening slowly every year instead of (just like the government) now having to pay double/triple the price to get it all up to speed immediately.

    - We sell trucks to please customers not shareholders! Lets never forget that. But it is a business, and i understand the value of both.
