I worked at ICF full-time (More than 10 years)
Positive, collaborative, creative work environment with talented colleagues. Lots of great causes and clients. Work you can feel good about. The company is changing and growing all the time but it smart about doing it.
Top management is not transparent (or sometimes even truthful) about plans for the future and employees are left guessing. There's not enough integration with acquired companies.
Advice to Management
Be honest. be transparent. Think about how you separate with top level employees when business needs change. Consider exit strategies rather than hurried/fumbled layoffs. Treat them with respect and work together.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ICF (Fairfax, VA) in November 2016.
The interview process I went through was fantastic. My recruiter was thorough and highly organized. I never had to worry where I stood or what was going on, she always updated me on whatever was going on. I also felt very prepared throughout my interview process thanks to my recruiter.
