I have been working at ITW full-time (Less than a year)

Corporate strategy is clear. The guardrails are set / clear as well. The how you do it is up to each business units discretion. Divisional leadership gets to run the business and push ownership and accountability down to all levels. 85 business units means lots of room for advancement / learning opportunities. Not hierarchical, no ivory tower, no politics...really lives diversity and inclusion compared to any other company I worked at.

Sometimes the business units run super lean with resources and sales / marketing spend

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work of setting strategy, guardrails and ideas / recipe’s for success.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ITW (Waterbury, CT) in December 2017.

The interview was a perfect length of time and not HR and the manager filling the position were very kind and I received a tour. I had interviewed with the company previously for another position so I felt confident when I went for this interview.
