A team that takes pride in each and every interaction with Ibotta customers, Ibotta Care is an essential element of the company's identity and growth.

Ibotta Care Agents:

  • Work an average of 28 hours per week
  • Are remote employees based in Colorado
  • Analyze and respond to email inquiries from Ibotta users
  • Troubleshoot and assist by reviewing Ibotta systems and customer accounts
  • Are advocates for the customer first, striving to ensure a positive Ibotta experience

Senior Leadership Team

Bryan Leach
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Bryan Leach founded Ibotta in 2011, when he realized the need for a more innovative approach to connecting brands, retailers, and consumers through mobile technology. Bryan made it his mission to empower smartphone-savvy shoppers with an easy way to earn cash back on their everyday purchases. Today, the company is the industry leader in offline performance-based mobile marketing. Prior to Ibotta, Bryan was a partner at a leading law firm and had clerked for Justice David Souter at the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Harvard, Oxford, and Yale Law School. On weekends, you'll find Bryan enjoying dim sum or clinging to a rock-climbing wall with his daughters.


Kane McCord
Chief Operating Officer
Kane McCord oversees Ibotta's sales, account management, business development, and operations functions. Prior to Ibotta, Kane was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he was a senior leader in the Sales & Marketing function of the Retail and Consumer Goods practice. He has extensive experience advising senior management at some of the nation's largest retailers and CPG companies. Kane holds a bachelor's degree in business from Indiana University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Outside of the office, Kane is an avid triathlete and skier, and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters exploring the mountains.


Luke Swanson
Chief Technology Officer
Luke Swanson joined Ibotta in 2012 to lead the company's product and engineering organizations, setting the technical direction and product roadmap. Ibotta's data and user care divisions also fall within his purview. Prior to Ibotta, Luke was VP of engineering at Photobucket, where he helped scale its technology for hundreds of millions of users before the company was acquired by Fox Interactive Media. He is the owner of a U.S. patent related to the display of metadata for online images, and has filed for several more patents with Ibotta. Luke holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In his spare time, Luke enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities with his wife and two daughters.


Rich leads Ibotta's marketing efforts including User Acquisition, Retention, Communications, Public Relations, and Creative. He joined Ibotta from KraftHeinz (previously H.J Heinz), where he worked in Brand Management across both their Consumer and Foodservice divisions, and prior to that spent years in the advertising industry. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and UCLA.

    I have been working at Ibotta full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Company is ambitious w/ capital A! Going after multiple very large markets with a young and energetic team. Love that it's a consumer facing product, but our advertisers are mostly large companies so a great mix of consumer work and B2B work. Office environment solid incl. great onsite gym. My manager is output focused, giving me the tools and flexibility to be successful.

    Cons

    Company growing at such a fast pace that it's tough to meet all the new faces...not sure what to do about that though other than taking it upon myself individually to stop and say hello to folks. Hoping we keep our casual start up vibe as we continue to scale.

    Advice to Management

    Please continue investing in training. I haven't had a chance to participate in the more ongoing training sessions yet but my colleagues who have say it's great!

    I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ibotta (Chicago, IL) in May 2017.

    Interview

    4 rounds of interview; the first one was with my hiring manager who was very friendly. Mainly looking for passion for entrepreneurship & Innovation. Questions were focussed on what I have been studying and any extra curricular work to show my interests. The other round was with the Product Director who also asked several behavioral questions, and the last round was with the whole team, with scenario based questions.
