I have been working at Icon Information Consultants full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love them as a contracting firm because they leave you alone to do your work. Some contracting companies constantly babysit you, and it's refreshing to not be constantly contacted.

    Cons

    Not any that I've experienced.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. You've been great to work for.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Icon Information Consultants (New York, NY) in March 2017.

    Interview

I want to start this out by saying I never applied for a position here, I was contacted by them. I was called on a Tuesday after 5 p.m. to come to an interview. The recruiter had found my resume online and a job had opened which he felt that I was a great fit for. He really hyped the position up so I went to the interview in the midst of traffic. Upon meeting at the office, I got an interview with the company they looking to hire for. I was constantly assured that "I had this" and that this position would be filled by the end of the week. My interview was on a Thursday and I never got an answer back. I received a text from the recruiter saying that he would contact me Friday in which he never did. The weekend came around and it's now Monday and still no response. I found them to be EXTREMELY unprofessional. They basically strung me along and I'm assuming things didn't work out but instead of just being honest and giving me answer, they decided to just not contact me at all. I understand that you cannot guarantee someone a position but it's wrong to contact someone and expect them to drop everything and then string them along and constantly reassure them that you'll get them an answer only to just not say anything at all.
