    Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Indiana Institute of Technology (Fort Wayne, IN) in August 2015.

    Interview

I submitted an application, resume, cover letter and reference list online. After about 3 weeks I was contacted for an interview. I was interviewed by a committee of three people, several of whom I had met before. I had an initial interview of about 45 minutes, we went to lunch, I had a tour and then a meeting to discuss benefits and to answer any final questions.

I felt like I had a great interview but I heard within a week through the grapevine that they hired an internal candidate. A few weeks after this, I recieved my "thanks, but no thanks" letter. They have such a strong bias towards internal candidates that I would not have applied if I had known that they had one this time.
