I worked at Indium of America as an intern (Less than a year)
Electronic materials manufacturing company working on state of the art technology.
Friendly people eager to help.
Once a while free luncheons.
Private company with good job stability as I learned during my stay - though I was temporary.
The IT group was not very updated with latest query languages. I could not find more cons during my short stay of 2-3 months.
Advice to Management
The company needs good business analysts to work at the interface of business and administration. The company also needs efficient pricing analysts for better sourcing of raw materials.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Indium of America (Utica, NY) in February 2016.
I saw the job posted on a local job website. I submitted a cover letter and resume online, filling out an application that included optional questions about ethnicity, disabilities and veteran status that I filled out. After 5 days I got a call from their HR person inviting me to come for an interview. I went at the appointed time, was met by the Quality Supervisor and taken to a conference room for the interview that lasted about 20 minutes or so. She was very friendly and told me about the job and the company. I didn't however get a call or an offer.
