I have been working at Infusion full-time
great leadership; very engaging and honest; flexible and willing to work with you
loose processes; passive communications can hinder understanding
Advice to Management
communicate a little better....it will go a long way
The process here is pretty standard. I applied online and got an email from an HR rep a few days later to set up a phone screen. After the screening I was asked to set up some time for a half hour call with the team lead. Once that was done I was asked to come in for a two hour interview with the manager and the team. The people I met were nice enough and I appreciated that they moved through the process quickly with no more than a week between each round. The office was a bit plain but conveniently located. The work itself wasn't terribly intriguing but since the company does consulting you get to at least move around to different projects.
Unfortunately I had to turn down the offer because over the course of my interviews and research I got the impression the company doesn't care about it's employees. There's a reason the position I interviewed for has been open for months now. With the exception of decent PTO the compensation package was very subpar. The salary was on the low end of average. The benefits include health insurance with high deductibles and premiums and no vision or dental, a 401k with zero employer matching or contributions, and break room snacks. When I inquired about any possibility of remote work or flexibility in the schedule I got a non-answer. The same thing happened when I asked about long term stability should the project I'm on get cancelled early or wrap up without another one directly in the pipeline. This area has a very high demand for IT work and Infusion will have to do better if they want strong talent.
