Good compensation compared to other County agencies. Good benefits offered. Lots of in service training available to those who need it or desire it. Teamwork and communication is pushed. They seem to keep up with current technologies. Motivated employees will find this County fulfilling and they relish your input.
A number of Unions are used and it is difficult to for management to get rid of the bad apples. This tends to reduce teamwork and morale. Very liberal Board causing wasteful projects to be implemented like a global warming initiative while projecting layoffs due to lack of funds. Very politcal.
Advice to Management
Sometimes change for the sake of change is not good. Tried and proven policies that have worked for years should be carefully reviewed before being cast aside, just to be brought back again later.
