More stable compared with universities, but not sure now since A-STAR is reconstructing and funding is cut.
Very difficult to become an independent PI. Stricter requirements compared with other AStar RIs.

Give staff more freedom.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (Singapore (Singapore)) in April 2015.
There are 2 rounds of interview. First round by the HR while second round by the CEO. HR is basically to find out if you have passion in research, regardless your experience. For CEO wise, she will try to know you more personally and match you the researcher that suits you most.
