I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Integrated Management Systems (Hong Kong) (Hong Kong) in Sep 2021

    Interview

Terrible experience for the following reasons

    1. The first round went fine. It was over a phone call. The interviewer was nice and guided in the right manner.

    2. The second round was an onsite interview. Very little was mentioned about the interview process. I felt that the interviewer this time was not interested in taking the interview at all. I mean, if that was the case then why invite me for the onsite interview itself? I am a working candidate and I spent my day over this.

    3. Would you call a physicist and ask chemist to judge the skill sets? The questions that was asked me to did not make any sense what so ever. It was very unrelated in the kind of analogy of "What part of mango is a fruit?" It is also an embarrassment for your firm as it is a direct sign of the knowledge of your firms work and abilities. If you have no knowledge in the related field, the very least you can do is ask someone with relevant knowledge to host the interview.

    3. I am a working candidate and not a student? If I have spend my time to meet you, the very least from your side is to deliver an interview that was worthwhile. Not only the interviewer had no basic idea of the field nor was he interested in the interview. And worse he was visually constantly on phone while the candidate I was speaking. This was very demeaning.

    4. Finally it’s very old fashioned to hold an on-site technical test. This is not a school anymore. And worse super irrelevant questions to the JD was mentioned in the onsite technical test.

I hope the authorities read this and change their means as it is very disappointing to see this experience from a firm who I assumed had potential to grow.
