I worked at Integrated Merchandising Systems full-time (More than 8 years)
Good benefit package, insurance is fantastic. Work from home one day a week.
Some teammates drag others down significantly. Uneven workload that management ignores. Excepts a culture of imbalance, short on staff - workers need to cover other accounts when they are busy.
Advice to Management
IMS has a poor corporate culture. They are extremely top heavy with way too many Executive VP's, Senior VP's and regular VP's, all of these people earn in excess of $100K. IMS terminated 30 operations people a few months ago in an effort to reduce their overhead, none of the highly compensated VP's were in this group. They are all "buddies" and protect each at the
expense of the people who do the real work. Competitors see them as being weak, they use clerks to do estimates and production rather than having experiences professionals. They have not had a serious new business win, with the reduction of McD's business due to the new electronic menu boards I do not see a bright future.
Bottom line you need to take the senior level managers off their high horse and treat everyone better.
Two interviews - process went pretty quickly. One phone interview and the next was a hour interview with the manager. Very easy process. Thankfully/ look around the warehouse -shared different experiences
