I worked at Intelius full-time (More than 3 years)
Regular paycheck, good team of individual contributors
Lots of nepotism, with friends and family of executives filling roles that they aren't qualified for.
Big cult of personality around Naveen Jain (much of it supported by Naveen himself).
Poor career/ascension management.
Advice to Management
Hire qualified people, not friends and family
I applied online. I interviewed at Intelius.
The phone interview was very informational and got invited in the office for a 4 hour loop within the week. Questions were pretty basic and nothing too difficult. The main issue was the follow-up.
I did look at the Glassdoor reviews prior to the interview and was very disappointed but figured I would still go in if not for the experience.
After being told I would have an update by end of week.. Nothing. After nearly a month, nothing. I gave up on them after week 2 since a company reviewed at 2/5 - you think they would put effort in to have a better image. Not the case. This happened to someone else I know too.
Morale of the story: Don't waste 4 hours out of your day on this company you could be spending submitting your resume to more respectable places. You deserve better.
