I have been working at Interlake Mecalux full-time (Less than a year)
Because it's still establishing itself in the US, there are lots of opportunities to learn across departments. While company growing pains can be frustrating, it's a great way to get experience and really understand the workplace that you wouldn't get at a company that is more established. Great PTO. Turkeys for Thanksgiving. Friendly coworkers.
Sometimes poor communication between departments and management. Outdated software. The time difference between the Spanish parent company and the US slowing taking action.
Advice to Management
Improve communication between departments because it's frustrating to get conflicting direction and information. Try to find a balance between the Spanish Mecalux culture and US corpporate culture to improve employee satisfaction.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Interlake Mecalux.
Phone interview with HR recruiter then had in person interview within a few days. I had an offer within 2 days. It was a very fast paced process. In person interview I met with the head of HR and also the Chicago based CEO. I was also mislead in the job I was applying for. Being told I would be promoted to Customer service within a few months. It took over 6 months before I was "promoted".
