I have been working at International Council of Shopping Centers full-time (Less than a year)
My favorite thing about working here is the job that I'm doing, and the opportunity for occupational growth. At a recent event, CEO named the ways in which the company is working to improve employee experience - by sponsoring educational opportunities, working on personal career paths, and being rewarded for our work successes (a la bonuses). I think there are also a lot of opportunities for advancement within my department, although I haven't been working here long enough for an advancement in my position. People are super nice - really warm and thoughtful. The employers are trying to make things better, more transparent, more of a community. The hours are great, the commute is easy, and the healthcare package is good.
Some of the people who work here are a bit negative, or disgruntled about the conditions. I think some of the management could be a bit more approachable, as well.
Advice to Management
Continue working towards priorities: transparency, advancement in individual's careers, and making iCSC a valuable place to work.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took a week. I interviewed at International Council of Shopping Centers (New York, NY) in May 2015.
First I had a phone interview then and in person interview. Walked in had to fill out an application. Met with HR and Manager. HR was lovely, the manager didn't really ask me any questions which was strange and made it difficult to make an impression, she mainly wanted to know if I had any questions for her so it was hard to tell what her role in the process or management of the position would be.
