I applied online. I interviewed at International Fund For Animal Welfare (United States)

    Interview

Interviewed with two people - one on the phone and the other in person. Both went well and said they would respond within a week. After a follow-up - they said that they are restructuring and the new person would reach out within a couple of days. Never happened. After one more follow up I let it go.

Wildlife trafficking is thriving online in the United States—and furthering the loss of biodiversity which is devastating ecosystems and our planet. Despite current protections under the Endangered Species Act and CITES, online investigators uncovered nearly 1,200 online advertisements for 2,400 animals and parts, part of a six-week investigation into 34 online marketplaces. “These findings are a clear indicator that online wildlife trafficking remains highly active and a significant challenge in the US,” says Mark Hofberg, Campaigns Officer at IFAW. Complex laws and regulations combined with the inherent anonymity of the internet create an environment of confusion. Savvy traders use this as a smokescreen to circumvent regulations which has bolstered the proliferation of the illegal wildlife market online. “The US government must prioritize wildlife trafficking in new legislation that closes loopholes in existing policy, to safeguard both the future of wildlife—as well as our own.” Learn more in IFAW’s new report 👉 Digital Markets: Wildlife Trafficking Hidden in Plain Sight:
