I have been working at IntraHealth International full-time (More than 8 years)
IntraHealth has a great mission and vision and the work is rewarding. The work/life balance is great and they offer a flexible schedule when possible, although there are very busy times that require over 40 hrs of work a week. IntraHealth is full of smart + talented people who I really respect and admire.
The management at IntraHealth can sometimes seem out of touch. There is an emphasis on consensus but it's not always carried out and the processes are not always transparent. Some staff are not as engaged as others - not sure why.
Advice to Management
My advice to management is to be more transparent and actively solicit advice from all levels of employees. Also, praise and/or reward great results and hard work and hold everyone accountable and to a high standard.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at IntraHealth International (Chapel Hill, NC).
I initially had a phone interview with HR. Subsequently, I had in-person interviews in the Chapel Hill office. In-person included meeting with several higher --level individuals as well as one panel made up of junior and mid-level staff.
