    OMAHA, Neb., June 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- West Corporation ("West" or the "Company"), a global leader in technology-enabled services, today announced it is rebranding to a new company name, Intrado. The rebranding reflects both the evolution of the Company as well as its vision for the future.

  • West is proud to announce that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. West joins the ranks of many other major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.

    The 2018 CEI rated numerous businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. West’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about Intrado.  Over the past few years, our company has changed significantly from our origins as a call center operation. We are proud of our heritage, and how the company has grown and evolved over the past 30+ years. We are a global organization, now more than 8,000 strong, working to make connections that count for our clients in almost every country around the world.

 

The work completed in the past year has been particularly instrumental in changing who we are and how we are perceived in the marketplace.  We transitioned from a holding company to an operating company. We invested in our platforms, dramatically improving our technology stability. We acquired several terrific businesses to expand our product suite and rolled out new, innovative solutions to the market. We are no longer a telecommunications company. We are now a technology company.

    In my time at West/Intrado, I have experienced a lot of change. We are on a journey and evolving as an organization. What shouldn’t be missed are the real opportunities to put your personal stamp on our products and services, how we get work done, and our relationships with customers. This is absolutely the right place for prospective team members interested in rolling up their sleeves and digging in. The possibilities are endless.

    In a dynamic and rapidly changing environment like ours, it can sometimes feel like it’s hard to keep up.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to be as transparent as possible and tie the changes happening back to where we’re headed in our journey. As leaders we can always more effectively explain how the pieces fit together.

    I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Intrado in May 2019.

    Interview

    Initial call with HR, then had a call with the hiring manager and an on-site interview with hiring manager & two others. Focus was on the type of analyst experience I had and the kind of work I enjoy doing. I had an offer within two weeks of the initial call with HR, overall it was an enjoyable interview experience.
