The team and product are great. IronKey was a fast paced, fun place to work, with a lot of high caliber people.
The company lost some momentum, and split into two. The Imation acquisition was miserable for all who went with that, as Imation had no idea what they would do with the new business unit that they created.
Advice to Management
Unfortunately, it's too late, since the company has been sold. But if I could go back in time, my advice would be "stay the course", and don't go down the Trusted Access path.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IronKey (Los Altos, CA).
It was a very straightforward process. A friend had connected me with the Director of Product Management. I spoke with him on the phone, and was asked to come in (a few days later). I met with several people on this visit, and was offered the job the following week.
