I worked at Italy-America Chamber of Commerce as an intern (Less than a year)
Friendly upper management, engaged in few little projects in different areas such as marketing, data analysis, etc...
Not well defined role inside the company
Advice to Management
I applied through college or university. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Italy-America Chamber of Commerce (New York, NY).
There was a single telephone interview. It lasted about 20 minutes. The recruiter rapidly went through my resumé, asking further details on jobs that had the most in common with the job he was offering. He asked very detailed question about some previous employs he was interested in (such as "how do the company make money" and so on). Eventually he asked standard questions such as candidate's weakness/strength points.
No negotiation. I had to accept his offer. Take it or leave it.
