Everyone has a story made up of different facets intertwined; that connection of personal, professional and community is what weaves us all together. In our male-dominated industry, women make up just 10% of construction workers nationally. Our female employees’ experiences bring unique perspectives and challenges that their male-counterparts often do not face. Over the course of the last four months, we have partnered with Fond du Lac artists Juliane Troicki and Laura Schneider to tell the stories of 17 of our Ahern women. These stories, which are told through photojournalism and biographical narratives, are that of resilience, individuality, compassion and hope. We will bring our offices “Ahern Illuminating Women” on October 4.
