Advice to Management
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JC Christensen & Associates (Sartell, MN) in August 2009.
Interview process was standard, phone interview, walk through of facility, sit live with current reps, then final interview with hr hiring and senior manager. Role play questions to show how agressive your abilities are to close. Need to have clear and defined answers to prove you can collect dollars.
Negotiation is less than 1% of the people they hire. They tell you straight out that you get paid $10/hr. You'd have to have a history in the collection industry to negotiate and other hourly rate. I'm very unsatisfied with their comp structure. They promise big dollars, but this is false. All reps are a piece of meat on the debt collecting wheel that creates huge money for the company and very little in the reps pockets. Nothing is written in stone as to how you get paid, and they recently reduced all comp plans % for the biggest money maker of the month which February (tax return time). Many reps are very upset and the moral is low. Overall, I've never worked so hard to make so little in all my sales profession. Proceed with caution!
