JEA Senior Living – Why Work With Us?

The JEA Story

Jerry Erwin’s dedication to seniors and those affected by memory loss began when his own mother, Margaret, developed Alzheimer’s disease. Margaret lived with Alzheimer’s for over 7 years and following her passing, Jerry realized the tremendous need for specialized dementia care communities.

This experience motivated Jerry to develop a better solution for seniors. A specialized community that catered to their unique and specific needs. In 1993, after months of exhaustive research and planning, Jerry and his family built their first memory care community in Tumwater, WA. This was the first of many successful communities built with love and a personal understanding of dementia care.

Today, JEA continues to provide the highest personal quality services for our residents, while honoring the experience of aging. As the JEA Family continues to grow, our philosophy remains the same: care for each resident with the love and attention that Jerry expected for his mother.

Come tour one of our communities today and experience what makes us different.

Our Difference – Meaningful Moments

At JEA, we understand the unique challenges that families face when caring for a loved one with memory loss or Alzheimer's disease. Placing a loved one in the care of others is one of the most difficult choices to make. Allow our Special Care Centers to help ease your mind.

Meaningful Moments is our unique, personalized resident programming, that is exclusive to JEA Communities. Through family interviews, daily interactions and our welcome process, we craft an activities program specific to your loved one. By knowing each resident’s likes, dislikes and their unique life story, we can create moments that are meaningful to them and in doing so, honor their experience of aging.

It is our goal to add meaning and value to each resident’s life and to provide a warm, caring, supportive environment. We care for each resident with dignity and respect and join you in honoring them.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JEA Senior Living in May 2017.

Had two interviews before I received my job offer. Administrator was slow at responding and often too busy to schedule on boarding and more. Interviews themselves were pretty much similar to any other interview processes I had been through in the past. Nothing stood out.
